VAI provided design services for the Massport Water Transportation Terminal at Logan Airport in East Boston. This project included the incorporation of five existing Massport-owned high freeboard floats, which resulted in improved water services at the site. The site provided for three operators, which service approximately 200,000 passengers a year. The improved facility now provides strict ADA compliance, additional ramps and platforms and covered shelter. Project improvements include expanded float system to include handicap accessibility, design of steel mooring piles, float connections, canopies, and electrical services.  Reconstructed facility increases berthing length from current 180 linear feet to 360 linear feet with multiple berthing heights.
